Householder Duties and Daily Offerings
जिस दिन पितरोंका श्राद्ध करनेकी इच्छा हो, उस दिन पहले श्राद्धकी क्रिया पूरी करे। उसके बाद पितरोंका तर्पण करके विधिपूर्वक बलिवैश्वदेव-कर्म करे। तदनन्तर ब्राह्मणोंको सत्कारपूर्वक भोजन करावे ।।
vayudeva uvaca | yasmin dine pitr̥ṇāṁ śrāddhaṁ kartum icchā bhavet tasmin dine pūrvaṁ śrāddhakriyāṁ samāpya | tataḥ pitr̥tarpanaṁ kṛtvā vidhivat balivaiśvadevakarma kuryāt | tadanantaraṁ brāhmaṇān satkārapūrvakaṁ bhojayet || tato'nnena viśeṣeṇa bhojayed atithīn api | arcāpūrva mahārāja tataḥ prīṇāti mānavān ||
风神（Vāyu）曰：“欲为祖先行施罗陀（śrāddha）之日，当先圆满施罗陀诸仪。继而向诸祖灵（Pitṛ）献作塔尔帕那（tarpaṇa），并如法行bali与毗湿婆提婆（Vaiśvadeva）之供。然后当以敬礼供养婆罗门。其后更当以格外用心与佳肴款待来宾；先行恭敬礼拜，伟大之王啊——如此便能使众人心悦。”
