कुलपतिरुवाच न शक्‍्यमिह शूद्रेण लिड्गमाश्रित्य वर्तितुम्‌ । आस्यतां यदि ते बुद्धि: शुश्रूषानिरतो भव

Transliteration

kulapatir uvāca na śakyam iha śūdreṇa liṅgam āśritya vartitum | āsyatāṃ yadi te buddhiḥ śuśrūṣā-nirato bhava |

Translation

林苑之主说道：“在此道场（āśrama）中，首陀罗不可凭借披戴出家之相而居住。若你意在留此，便不必取那等外相，只当专心侍奉诸仙与圣贤。唯以侍奉之功，你必得上妙之界；对此毫无疑虑。”
