Śama-prāptiḥ — Gautamī–Lubdhaka–Pannaga–Mṛtyu–Kāla-saṃvāda

Restraint through the Analysis of Karma and Time

भीष्मजी कहते हैं--राजन्‌! तदनन्तर काल, मृत्यु और सर्प जैसे आये थे वैसे ही चले गये; और अर्जुनक तथा गौतमी ब्राह्मणीका भी शोक दूर हो गया ।।

bhīṣma uvāca—rājan! tad-anantaraṁ kāla-mṛtyu-sarpa-yathāgatāḥ tathāiva gatāḥ; arjunakasya gautamyā brāhmaṇyāś ca śoko ’pi vyapagataḥ. etat śrutvā śamaṁ gaccha mā bhūḥ śoka-paraḥ nṛpa; sva-karma-pratyayāl lokān sarve gacchanti vai nṛpa.

毗湿摩说道:“大王!此后,时辰、死神与那条蛇如来时一般离去;阿周那迦与婆罗门妇人乔达弥的哀痛也被驱散。你既听闻此事,当复归安定——莫为忧伤所困,君王啊。众生皆为自身业果所系,确实各赴其应得之界。”
