Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta
kaśyapa uvāca putra mā sāhasaṁ kārṣīḥ mā sadyo lapsyase vyathām | mā tvāṁ daheyuḥ saṁkruddhā vālakhilyā marīcipāḥ ||
Reckless action invites immediate suffering; ethical restraint and respect toward powerful ascetics are essential, since their anger—born of tapas—can bring swift consequences.
Kashyapa cautions his son against a rash deed and warns that the Vālakhilya sages, famed as ‘drinkers of the Sun’s rays,’ if provoked, may incinerate him in their wrath.
