Suta Goswami
It frames the grahas as arising from specific divine radiances (raśmis), supporting the Shaiva view that all cosmic forces are ordered manifestations under Pati (Shiva), whom the Linga signifies as the supreme source.
By presenting planetary powers as born from primordial rays and ‘yonis,’ it implies an emanation-based cosmos governed by a higher luminous principle—read in Shaiva Siddhanta as Shiva’s supreme lordship (pati-tattva) directing niyati over pashu and pasha.
Graha-related observances can be integrated into Shiva-puja (e.g., offering, japa, and śānti intent), treating planetary influences as subordinate energies to be harmonized through devotion and inner discipline aligned with Pashupata-oriented restraint.
