मानसोपरि माहेन्द्री प्राच्यां मेरोः पुरी स्थिता दक्षिणे भानुपुत्रस्य वरुणस्य च वारुणी

Transliteration

mānasopari māhendrī prācyāṃ meroḥ purī sthitā dakṣiṇe bhānuputrasya varuṇasya ca vāruṇī

Translation

在摩那萨（Mānasa）之上，向东方，有摩诃因陀梨（Māhendrī）——须弥（Meru）之城——安立其处。向南方则有伐楼尼（Vāruṇī），属伐楼那（Varuṇa）亦属婆奴（Bhānu）之子；由此标示诸神圣方位与其主宰之居所。
