FAQs

It prescribes ālaṅkāra-upacāra—adorning the Linga with crown, ornaments, and cloth—showing that devotion expresses itself through respectful offering to Pati (Shiva), helping the pashu (soul) loosen pasha (bondage) via reverent service.

Shiva is approached as the supreme Pati who graciously accepts symbolic offerings; the mention of Praṇava indicates that His worship is both external (adornment) and internal (mantric recognition of the Absolute).

Mantra-guided pūjā: offering upacāras while invoking Oṁ (Praṇava). It emphasizes disciplined devotional action (kriyā) aligned with mantra, a practical limb supportive of Shaiva sādhanā.
