Vasudeva and Devakī Glorify Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma; The Recovery of Devakī’s Six Sons from Sutala
cirān mṛta-sutādāne guruṇā kila coditau āninyathuḥ pitṛ-sthānād gurave guru-dakṣiṇām
In this verse, guru-dakṣiṇā means the grateful offering to one’s spiritual master—here, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma return the guru’s son as the requested gift.
They went because Their guru instructed Them to restore his deceased son, and They fulfilled that request as an act of perfect guru-sevā.
By serving one’s teacher with humility, gratitude, and integrity—supporting their mission and following their instructions sincerely.
