Kurukṣetra Pilgrimage: Sages Praise Kṛṣṇa; Vasudeva Inquires on Karma; Viṣṇu-yajña Performed
नन्दो गोपाश्च गोप्यश्च गोविन्दचरणाम्बुजे । मन: क्षिप्तं पुनर्हर्तुमनीशा मथुरां ययु: ॥ ६९ ॥
nando gopās’ ca gopyaś ca govinda-caraṇāmbuje manaḥ kṣiptaṁ punar hartum anīśā mathurāṁ yayuḥ
难陀、牧人们与牧女们既已将心安放在戈文达的莲花足下,便再也无法收回,于是他们返回了摩图罗。
This verse says Nanda, the gopas, and the gopīs had thrown their minds into Govinda’s lotus feet and could not withdraw them—showing how pure bhakti naturally overwhelms ordinary mental control.
Śukadeva describes that, with their hearts fixed on Govinda, they went to Mathurā—indicating their continued movement around Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes and their inability to live without connection to Him, even in separation.
Aim to “cast the mind” into Kṛṣṇa’s feet through steady nāma-japa, kīrtana, and remembrance; over time, devotion becomes the mind’s natural resting place, reducing distraction and anxiety.
