Kurukṣetra Pilgrimage: Sages Praise Kṛṣṇa; Vasudeva Inquires on Karma; Viṣṇu-yajña Performed
śrī-śuka uvāca ity anujñāpya dāśārhaṁ dhṛtarāṣṭraṁ yudhiṣṭhiram rājarṣe svāśramān gantuṁ munayo dadhire manaḥ
This verse shows that after meeting Lord Kṛṣṇa and offering due respect, the sages formally take leave and then fix their minds on returning to their own āśramas—illustrating disciplined, respectful conduct.
Because Kṛṣṇa and the royal elders were honored hosts and central figures in the assembly; Vedic etiquette teaches that saints depart only after properly seeking leave, maintaining dharma and humility.
After receiving spiritual association or guidance, one should leave respectfully, stay focused, and return to one’s duties and spiritual practices with a steady mind—without distraction or pride.
