Uddhava’s Counsel: The Jarāsandha Resolution and Kṛṣṇa’s Arrival at Indraprastha
तं मातुलेयं परिरभ्य निर्वृतो भीम: स्मयन् प्रेमजलाकुलेन्द्रिय: । यमौ किरीटी च सुहृत्तमं मुदा प्रवृद्धबाष्पा: परिरेभिरेऽच्युतम् ॥ २७ ॥
taṁ mātuleyaṁ parirabhya nirvṛto bhīmaḥ smayan prema-jalākulendriyaḥ yamau kirīṭī ca suhṛttamaṁ mudā pravṛddha-bāṣpāḥ parirebhire ’cyutam
于是毗摩双眼盈满爱泪,欢笑着拥抱了他的外家表亲——圣克里希纳。阿周那与双子那俱罗、娑诃提婆也欢喜拥抱他们至亲的朋友、不失之主阿周陀,泪如泉涌。
Because Kṛṣṇa is their dearest friend and protector; seeing Him after separation awakens intense prema, expressed through smiling, tears, and heartfelt embraces.
Acyuta refers to Śrī Kṛṣṇa; it means “infallible” or “one who never slips,” highlighting His unwavering divinity and reliability as the devotees’ shelter.
It teaches that sincere devotion is not merely intellectual—love for God naturally expresses itself through humility, warmth, and heartfelt emotion, especially in remembrance and reunion with the Lord.
