This verse shows Kṛṣṇa immediately rising from His couch, bowing to the visitor’s feet, and offering respect with folded hands—revealing divine humility and perfect etiquette.
As the greatest upholder of dharma, Kṛṣṇa teaches by example: honoring devotees and guests, and demonstrating that true greatness includes humility and respect.
Practice respectful reception—stand up, greet sincerely, and offer honor to elders, teachers, and guests—cultivating humility as a form of lived dharma.
