tāsāṁ yā daśa-putrāṇāṁ kṛṣṇa-strīṇāṁ puroditāḥ aṣṭau mahiṣyas tat-putrān pradyumnādīn gṛṇāmi te
在奎师那的诸位妻子中——每位都有十个儿子——我先前已提到八位主要王后。现在我将为你诵出那八位王后的儿子之名,以普拉丢姆那为首。
This verse introduces Śukadeva’s intent to describe Kṛṣṇa’s eight chief queens and to list their sons, starting with Pradyumna.
Śukadeva signals an ordered genealogy of Kṛṣṇa’s royal family in Dvārakā, beginning with the prominent son Pradyumna as the first in the forthcoming enumeration.
It teaches attentive hearing (śravaṇam) and reverence for the Lord’s līlā—seeing even genealogical details as sacred remembrance that strengthens devotion.
