Because Kṛṣṇa was not found and suspicion and grief spread around the Syamantaka episode, the distressed Dvārakā citizens blamed Satrājit and cursed him in their sorrow.
In their urgency to locate Kṛṣṇa, they sought divine assistance through worship at a sacred Durgā shrine at Candrabhāgā, praying for Kṛṣṇa’s discovery and safe return.
In crisis, people may react with blame and fear; the verse reminds us to seek clarity, pray sincerely, and avoid hasty accusations while pursuing the truth.
