Trivakrā’s Transformation and the Breaking of Kaṁsa’s Bow
Mathurā-līlā Prelude
तेषु पौरा जानपदा ब्रह्मक्षत्रपुरोगमा: । यथोपजोषं विविशू राजानश्च कृतासना: ॥ ३४ ॥
teṣu paurā jānapadā brahma-kṣatra-purogamāḥ yathopajoṣaṁ viviśū rājānaś ca kṛtāsanāḥ
城中与乡郊的民众在婆罗门与刹帝利的带领下,随意入座于看台;诸王宾客则被安排了尊位。
This verse depicts orderly entry and seating according to role and propriety, reflecting dharmic etiquette and respect for social responsibilities in a public gathering.
The verse highlights the Vedic model where brāhmaṇas guide through learning and spiritual authority, while kṣatriyas lead through governance and protection—so they naturally stand at the forefront in formal assemblies.
Maintain order and respect in community settings—honor competence and responsibility, give appropriate place to teachers and leaders, and participate in gatherings with humility and discipline.
