Trivakrā’s Transformation and the Breaking of Kaṁsa’s Bow
Mathurā-līlā Prelude
एष्यामि ते गृहं सुभ्रु पुंसामाधिविकर्शनम् । साधितार्थोऽगृहाणां न: पान्थानां त्वं परायणम् ॥ १२ ॥
eṣyāmi te gṛhaṁ su-bhru puṁsām ādhi-vikarśanam sādhitārtho ’gṛhāṇāṁ naḥ pānthānāṁ tvaṁ parāyaṇam
主奎师那说道:“眉目秀美的女子啊,待我成就所行之事,必定前往你家;那里能消解男子的忧惧。我们这些无家行旅,以你为至上归依。”
By the word agṛhāṇām, Śrī Kṛṣṇa indicated not only that He had no fixed residence but also that He was not yet married.
In this verse, Kṛṣṇa tells Kubjā that for travelers without a home, she is their refuge—showing how the Lord reciprocates with even socially neglected devotees and accepts their offering of devotion.
After Kubjā served Kṛṣṇa with scented ointment and devotion, Kṛṣṇa promised to visit her home, reciprocating with her service and drawing out the next part of the Mathurā līlā.
See true refuge as devotion and sincere service to the Lord: even small heartfelt offerings attract divine grace, and spiritual shelter is found through bhakti rather than external status.
