克里希纳说:“朋友啊,请赐给我们二人相称的衣裳,我们确实当受此供。你若施此布施,必得至上福益,毫无疑虑。”
This verse states that giving appropriately to worthy recipients brings the giver the highest auspicious benefit (param śreyaḥ), with no doubt.
As Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma were entering Mathurā, They requested suitable clothing for the upcoming festivities; the episode highlights how one’s response to the Lord’s request reveals devotion or offense.
Offer resources—time, money, skills—appropriately and respectfully in service to God and His devotees; the Bhagavatam emphasizes that sincere giving purifies the giver and brings lasting welfare.
