Brahmā’s Prayers to Lord Kṛṣṇa (Brahmā-stuti) and the Restoration of Vraja’s Lunch Pastime
समाश्रिता ये पदपल्लवप्लवं महत्पदं पुण्ययशो मुरारे: । भवाम्बुधिर्वत्सपदं परं पदं पदं पदं यद् विपदां न तेषाम् ॥ ५८ ॥
samāśritā ye pada-pallava-plavaṁ mahat-padaṁ puṇya-yaśo murāreḥ bhavāmbudhir vatsa-padaṁ paraṁ padaṁ padaṁ padaṁ yad vipadāṁ na teṣām
凡依止穆拉里圣名远扬、为宇宙所依的主之莲足为舟者,生死大海于彼如同小牛蹄印中之水。其归趣为至上之境——毗昆塔——无诸苦患之处,而非步步皆险之地。
This translation is taken from Śrīla Prabhupāda’s commentary on the Bhagavad-gītā As It Is , Chapter Two, text 51.
It says that taking shelter of Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet is like boarding a boat; then the immense ocean of material existence becomes as small as water in a calf’s hoofprint, making liberation attainable.
After witnessing Kṛṣṇa’s supremacy in Vraja, Brahmā offers prayers admitting his own limitation and declares that surrender to Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet is the sure path beyond fear and suffering.
By practicing steady bhakti—hearing and chanting Kṛṣṇa’s names, remembering Him daily, serving devotees, and aligning choices with devotion—life’s crises feel smaller and one gains inner stability and direction toward the highest goal.
