bhṛguḥ khyātyāṁ mahā-bhāgaḥ patnyāṁ putrān ajījanat dhātāraṁ ca vidhātāraṁ śriyaṁ ca bhagavat-parām
This verse states that Bhṛgu and Khyāti had two sons, Dhātā and Vidhātā, and a daughter, Śrī (Lakṣmī).
In this verse, 'bhagavat-parā' indicates that Śrī (Lakṣmī) is supremely devoted to Bhagavān—He is her highest shelter and ultimate goal.
Prosperity is best understood as sacred when it remains devoted to the Lord—used in service, guided by dharma, and centered on devotion rather than ego or greed.
