Sukta 25
námaḥ śītā́ya takmáne námo rūrā́ya śocíṣe kṛṇomi | yó anyedyúr ubhayadyúr abhyèti tṛtī́yakāya námo astu takmáne ||
Homage to the cold Takman; homage I render to the burning one, to the flaming heat. Whoso, the alternate-day or the both-day, comes on—homage be to the third-day; homage be to Takman.
Rishi: Atharvan (traditional attribution for Takman-healing material; specific r̥ṣi assignment varies by anukramaṇī traditions)
Devata: Takman (Fever), including its śīta (cold) and rūrā/śociṣ (burning) manifestations
Chandas: Mixed/irregular; predominantly triṣṭubh-like cadence in parts (edition-dependent metrical analysis)
