FAQs

It teaches a practical five-part framework for accomplishing any undertaking: begin properly (prārambha), apply effort (prayatna), reach attainment (prāpti), maintain sincere right intent (sadbhāva), and thereby secure the intended result (niyatā phalaprāpti / phalayoga).

Beyond theology and ritual, the Agni Purana also systematizes general principles used in disciplines like poetics, governance, and applied arts—here, it codifies a universal success-methodology (kriya-to-phala mapping) that can be applied across its many knowledge-domains.

By emphasizing sadbhāva (right inner disposition) together with disciplined effort, the verse frames results as arising from ethically grounded action—aligning karma with intention so that fruition (phala) becomes steady and spiritually wholesome.
