'भूपतिद्वं' reading is textually uncertain; kept as-is with tentative analysis.
Related Themes: Agni Purana 306 (pūjā-vidhi sequences: abhiṣeka, homa, japa); Agni Purana avatāra-related sections on Varāha (elsewhere in Purāṇic narrative portions)
It teaches a Varāha-centered prayoga: worship with fruits/flowers, performance of abhiṣeka and homa, and daily japa of a five-part mantra (pañcāṅga) prescribed in a count of ten thousand for attaining specified results.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s manual-like coverage of applied religious technologies—specific mantras, offerings, japa-counts, and expected outcomes—alongside its wider subjects (statecraft, iconography, medicine, poetics), making it a compendium of actionable disciplines.
The verse frames ritual purity and devotion (abhiṣeka–homa–japa with offerings) as generating divine satisfaction (tuṣṭi) that ripens into merit and worldly boons—especially longevity and legitimate sovereignty—through disciplined repetition and correct rite.
