It instructs aṅga-nyāsa: ritually ‘placing’ specific mantra-limbs (beginning with hṛt, lekhā, vyoma) on the body/centers and performing japa of the heart and other aṅga-mantras, concluding with “namaḥ” as the salutation formula.
Beyond mythic narration, it preserves practical liturgical technology—standardized nyāsa and japa protocols—showing the Purana’s coverage of applied ritual science (mantra-vidhi, worship procedure, and internalized meditative placement).
Aṅga-nyāsa and hṛdaya-japa sacralize the practitioner’s body and mind as a ritual field, aiming at purification, steadiness of devotion, and effective mantra-siddhi through disciplined, reverent recitation (“namaḥ”).
