FAQs

Ayurvedic pharmacy: preparing a vrana-ropana (wound-healing) medicated oil by cooking oil with milk and specific herbs (taila-siddhi / kṣīra-pāka style processing) for topical wound management.

It preserves practical clinical knowledge—an applied Ayurvedic recipe—within a Purana, showing how the Agni Purana compiles medicine alongside theology, ritual, polity, and other sciences.

By promoting healing and relief of suffering through dharmic care, the instruction aligns with puṇya-generating compassion (dayā) and protection of life, a recurring ethical aim in Puranic teachings.
