Chapter 279 — सिद्धौषधानि (Siddhauṣadhāni, “Perfected Medicines”) — Colophon/Closure
varṣādyo visargastu hemantādyās tathā trayaḥ śiśirādyās tathādānaṃ grīṣmāntā ṛtavastrayaḥ

Related Themes: Agni Purana 279.26 (Saumya/Āgneya characterization of Visarga/Ādāna); Agni Purana 279 (ṛtu-caryā context)
It teaches the Jyotiṣa/Kāla-vidyā convention of grouping the six seasons into two triads—Visarga and Ādāna—used to time vows, rites, and seasonal observances.
Beyond theology, it preserves technical calendrical terminology (Visarga/Ādāna) and a systematic seasonal taxonomy—showing the Purana’s role as a compendium of timekeeping and applied ritual science.
By aligning religious actions with correct seasonal divisions, one performs dharma in harmony with cosmic time (kāla), which is traditionally held to enhance merit (puṇya) and reduce ritual faults (doṣa).
