Related Themes: Agni Purana 34 (upacāra-dravya and ācamanīya/pādya/arghya sequence)
It prescribes specific pūjā-upacāra materials (kuśa, flowers, sesame, etc.) and gives a technical instruction to prepare ācamanīya (sipping-water) perfumed with clove and kakkola for ritual purification.
By cataloging concrete worship-items and a precise preparation method for ācamanīya, it functions like a practical ritual manual—one of the Agni Purāṇa’s hallmark encyclopedic strands alongside topics such as polity, medicine, and arts.
Offering proper upacāras and using purified, fragranced ācamanīya supports ritual śauca (purity) and reverence, helping ensure the worship is performed in a sattvic, merit-generating manner.
