एवमादीनि द्रव्याणि प्रेतभोग्यानि सर्वशः ॥ पादशौचादि त्रिः कृत्वा चातुर्वर्ण्यस्य माधवि ॥

evamādīni dravyāṇi pretabhogyāni sarvaśaḥ || pādaśaucādi triḥ kṛtvā cāturvarṇyasya mādhavi ||

Những vật như thế—mọi thứ được xem là thích hợp làm phần thọ hưởng của preta—nên được sắp đặt đầy đủ mọi mặt; và hỡi Mādhavī, sau khi rửa chân cùng các phép tẩy tịnh liên hệ ba lần, đây là nghi thức dành cho bốn varṇa.
