Vānara-yūthapāḥ (speaking to Rāma)
Tirtha: Ayodhyā-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Vānara leaders, distressed yet steadfast, plead before Rāma: if he departs without them, they would be as if struck down by a great punishment—faces wet with tears, hands raised in supplication.
Separation from the righteous Lord is portrayed as spiritual devastation; companionship with dharma is life-giving.
Ayodhyā as the locus of Rāma’s presence—where leaving him feels like losing life itself.
None; the verse expresses bhāva (devotional feeling) and the gravity of separation.
