Type: ghat
Scene: Pilgrims descending steps into the Sarayū at Svargadvāra; a visual metaphor of dark impurities dissolving into light as water touches the body; auspicious symbols (kalasha, conch) indicating ‘every time is śubha’.
Refuge in a supremely holy place sanctifies time itself, and simple acts like bathing can cleanse sin.
Svargadvāra in Ayodhyā.
Snāna (bathing) is explicitly praised as sufficient for the dissolution of sins in this sacred locus.
