ऋषय ऊचुः । इहागत्य नरो यस्तु त्रिरात्रोपोषितः शुचिः । कृत्वा स्नानं पितॄंस्तर्प्य श्राद्धं कुर्यात्समाहितः
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | ihāgatya naro yastu trirātropoṣitaḥ śuciḥ | kṛtvā snānaṃ pitṝṃstarpya śrāddhaṃ kuryātsamāhitaḥ
Các bậc hiền triết nói: “Người nào đến đây, giữ thân tâm thanh tịnh và trai giới ba đêm; rồi tắm gội, dâng nước cúng (tarpya) cho tổ tiên, và nhất tâm cử hành lễ śrāddha.”
Ṛṣayaḥ (Sages)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Purandara/Indra (and by extension future pilgrims)
Scene: A pilgrim, clean and restrained after a three-night fast, bathes at a sacred water spot in Prabhāsa, then offers tarpaṇa with cupped hands and performs śrāddha with a priest and offerings arranged on darbha, facing the proper direction.
Pilgrimage becomes complete when joined with purity, restraint (fasting), and grateful duty to ancestors through śrāddha.
The verse refers to “here” within the Ṛṣitīrtha context of Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya.
A three-night fast, holy bath, Pitṛ-tarpaṇa, and śrāddha performed with mental concentration.
