Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Śiva (Īśvara) instructs Devī on pilgrimage: a divine couple in discourse, pointing toward a famed liṅga shrine labeled ‘Śaṅkaranātha’; pilgrims approach with folded hands; the coastal light of Prabhāsa glows behind the temple.
Approaching a divinely renowned Śiva-liṅga with reverence is taught as a direct means for purification from sin.
Śaṅkaranātha Liṅga within Prabhāsakṣetra (Prabhāsa Kṣetra) as described in the Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa.
A simple prescription is given: one should go (darśana/visit) to the famed liṅga; later verses add worship and charity.
