दिवसस्याष्टमे भागे मन्दीभूते दिवाकरे । आसुरं तद्भवेच्छ्राद्धं पितृणां नोपतिष्ठते
divasasyāṣṭame bhāge mandībhūte divākare | āsuraṃ tadbhavecchrāddhaṃ pitṛṇāṃ nopatiṣṭhate
Nếu cử hành Śrāddha khi ngày đã đến phần thứ tám và mặt trời đã suy yếu, thì Śrāddha ấy trở thành loại ‘āsura’, không đến được với các Pitṛ (tổ tiên).
