so'pyajagaratāṃ tyaktvā punaḥ svargaṃ gamiṣyati | aśvamedhe kṛte bhartrā saha yāsi punardivi | prāpsyase vara dānena mamānena sulocane
Agastya (addressing Indrāṇī/Śacī as ‘sulocane’ in the Nahuṣa episode)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Indrāṇī (addressed as sulocanā)
Scene: Agastya declares the outcome: Nahuṣa will abandon serpenthood and return to heaven; Indrāṇī will rejoin her husband in svarga after he performs Aśvamedha, by the sage’s boon.
Karmic suffering can end through destined dharmic acts and the grace of sages; sacrifice aligned with dharma supports restoration of cosmic order.
The passage belongs to the Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya, connecting legendary events to the sanctifying discourse of Prabhāsa.
Aśvamedha (horse sacrifice) is mentioned as a royal rite associated here with renewed ascent to heaven.
