Xin hãy cho thiếp biết nguyên do; lòng thiếp đang dâng lên niềm kinh ngạc.”
Rājñī (Queen Sunandā)
Listener: King Sudarśana
Scene: The queen, dignified and astonished, addresses the king with folded hands or attentive posture, requesting the reason behind the vow’s great power.
Sincere inquiry (jijñāsā) is presented as the gateway to understanding vrata-mahātmya and receiving dharmic instruction.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra remains the overarching setting; the queen’s question prompts the forthcoming tīrtha explanation.
No new prescription; it requests the rationale and story behind the Śivarātri-vrata’s efficacy.
