Type: kshetra
Scene: Rāma, seated in the ritual area, turns sharply toward Sītā and speaks sternly; his hand gestures accusatory; Sītā stands before him, startled; brāhmaṇa seating and ritual remnants indicate the just-finished śrāddha.
Ancestral rites are treated as highly auspicious and must be performed with discipline, respect for brāhmaṇas, and attentiveness to time.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where pitṛ-kṛtya and śrāddha are framed as especially significant within the māhātmya.
Proper conduct during śrāddha—remaining present for brāhmaṇa hospitality and the completion of pitṛ rites.
