Type: ghat
Scene: Close-up devotional realism: bare feet step into Gomatī’s rippling waves; the water glows as if alive. In the background, a simple, destitute pilgrim and a learned brahmavādin both receive the same saving grace, symbolized by a luminous path opening over the water.
Contact with the sacred waters of Gomati is celebrated as spiritually rescuing, granting ‘gati’ (right course/deliverance) even to the distressed or spiritually stranded.
The Gomati tīrtha connected with Dvārakā—its waves themselves are described as salvific.
Entering/stepping into Gomati’s waters (snāna or wading) is implied as the meritorious act.
