विलयं यांति पापानि जन्मकोटिकृतान्यपि । वृथा संन्यासिनां पुण्यं वृथा च वनवासिनाम्
vilayaṃ yāṃti pāpāni janmakoṭikṛtānyapi | vṛthā saṃnyāsināṃ puṇyaṃ vṛthā ca vanavāsinām
“Tội lỗi—dẫu đã gây trong muôn triệu kiếp—cũng tan biến. So với điều này, công đức của bậc xuất gia dường như hóa vô ích, và công đức của người ẩn cư nơi rừng cũng dường như vô ích.”
