यदा पञ्चत्वमापन्ना सती सत्यपराक्रमा । अपमानेन दक्षस्य यज्ञे न च निमंत्रिता
yadā pañcatvamāpannā satī satyaparākramā | apamānena dakṣasya yajñe na ca nimaṃtritā
“Khi Satī—bậc có dũng lực nương nơi chân lý—đi đến cái chết, ấy là do sự sỉ nhục của Dakṣa, và vì nàng không được mời đến lễ tế (yajña) của ông.”
