अतोऽहं भूतलं त्यक्त्वा प्रविष्टो निर्झरे त्विह । प्रणष्टान्नरसे लोके न चाहं स्थातुमुत्सहे
ato'haṃ bhūtalaṃ tyaktvā praviṣṭo nirjhare tviha | praṇaṣṭānnarase loke na cāhaṃ sthātumutsahe
Vì thế ta đã rời mặt đất mà đi vào thác nước này. Trong một thế gian nơi tinh túy của nhân tính và chánh hạnh đã tiêu vong, ta không còn lòng dạ để ở lại.
