ततः कृष्णाजिने बद्ध्वा कुण्डले न्यस्य भूतले । आरुरोह फलाकांक्षी स मुनिः क्षुधयाऽन्वितः

tataḥ kṛṣṇājine baddhvā kuṇḍale nyasya bhūtale | āruroha phalākāṃkṣī sa muniḥ kṣudhayā'nvitaḥ

Rồi ông buộc đôi khuyên tai vào tấm da linh dương đen và đặt xuống đất. Vị hiền triết ấy—mong hái trái và bị cơn đói thúc bách—liền trèo lên (cây).
