ऊषरे वापि तं सस्यं तुषाणां कण्डनं कृतम् । कुलाचारसमोपेतांस्तस्माच्छ्राद्धे नियोजयेत्

Transliteration

ūṣare vāpi taṃ sasyaṃ tuṣāṇāṃ kaṇḍanaṃ kṛtam | kulācārasamopetāṃstasmācchrāddhe niyojayet

Translation

Như lúa mọc trên đất cằn chỉ là giã vỏ trấu, không có hạt chắc; cũng vậy, nghi lễ sẽ rỗng không nếu thiếu chuẩn mực. Vì thế, trong lễ Śrāddha nên thỉnh chọn những người đầy đủ gia phong và tập tục tốt đẹp của dòng tộc.
