Tirtha: Vāsudeva-kṣetra (departure point) and other tīrthas (unspecified)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and the Naimiṣāraṇya sages (standard Sūta frame; implied)
Scene: Sūta narrates as the Pāṇḍu-nandana (a Pāṇḍava) respectfully accepts a charge from local devotees/elders, then departs with composed mind toward a chain of tīrthas; travel imagery with staff, attendants, and distant shrines.
Having completed one sacred duty with inner peace, the pilgrim continues onward—tīrtha-yātrā is portrayed as purposeful and dharmic.
The narrative transitions from the chapter’s highlighted Cakrapāṇi/Badarī-related tīrtha to other tīrthas, indicating a broader pilgrimage circuit.
No direct rite; it describes assuming a duty (bhāra) and proceeding on tīrtha-yātrā after fulfilling obligations.
