नास्ति मातृसमं त्राणं नास्ति मातृसमा प्रपा । कुक्षिसंधारणाद्धात्री जननाज्जननी तथा
nāsti mātṛsamaṃ trāṇaṃ nāsti mātṛsamā prapā | kukṣisaṃdhāraṇāddhātrī jananājjananī tathā
Không có sự che chở nào sánh bằng mẹ; không có nơi nương tựa nghỉ ngơi nào như mẹ. Vì mang con trong bụng nên mẹ được gọi là Dhātrī (Đấng nuôi dưỡng, nâng đỡ); và vì sinh ra con nên được gọi là Jananī (Mẹ sinh thành).
