पुत्र उवाच । तात सर्वं परिज्ञेयं ज्ञानमत्रैव वै यतः । ततः परं कंठशोषः किमर्थं क्रियते वद
putra uvāca | tāta sarvaṃ parijñeyaṃ jñānamatraiva vai yataḥ | tataḥ paraṃ kaṃṭhaśoṣaḥ kimarthaṃ kriyate vada
Người con thưa: “Thưa cha, nếu mọi tri thức có thể biết đều ở ngay đây, cớ sao còn phải tụng đọc đến khô cổ? Xin cha nói rõ—việc ấy nhằm mục đích gì?”
