स लोभः सह मोहेन विजेतव्यो जितात्मना । दम्भो द्रोहश्च निंदा च पैशुन्यं मत्सरस्तथा
sa lobhaḥ saha mohena vijetavyo jitātmanā | dambho drohaśca niṃdā ca paiśunyaṃ matsarastathā
Lòng tham—cùng với mê muội—phải được người đã tự thắng mình chế ngự. Từ đó phát sinh giả hình, phản trắc, phỉ báng, nói xấu sau lưng và ganh tỵ.
