Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 169

सत्यं वाच्यं नित्यमैत्रेण भाव्यं कार्यं त्याज्यं नित्यमायासकारि । लोकेऽमुष्मिन्यद्दिनं स्यात्तथास्मिन्नात्मा योगे येजनीयो गभीरैः

Transliteration

satyaṃ vācyaṃ nityamaitreṇa bhāvyaṃ kāryaṃ tyājyaṃ nityamāyāsakāri | loke'muṣminyaddinaṃ syāttathāsminnātmā yoge yejanīyo gabhīraiḥ

Translation

Hãy luôn nói lời chân thật; luôn nuôi dưỡng tâm tình thân ái; và từ bỏ những việc thường gây mệt nhọc, xao động. Ngày tháng trôi qua trong đời này thế nào thì đời sau được định hình như thế—vì vậy bậc hiền trí nên thờ phụng tự ngã nội tâm bằng yoga sâu thẳm.
