धर्मतो धनमाहार्य यष्टव्यं चापि यत्नतः । हीनेभ्योपि न युंजीत त्वंकारं कर्हिचिद्बधः । त्वंकारो वा वधो वापि गुरूणामुभयं समम्
dharmato dhanamāhārya yaṣṭavyaṃ cāpi yatnataḥ | hīnebhyopi na yuṃjīta tvaṃkāraṃ karhicidbadhaḥ | tvaṃkāro vā vadho vāpi gurūṇāmubhayaṃ samam
Của cải nên được thâu nhận theo dharma, và lễ tế (yajña) phải được cử hành với nỗ lực và cẩn trọng. Chớ dùng lối xưng hô khinh miệt kiểu “mày/mi!” dù với kẻ thấp hơn—thứ tvaṃkāra ấy là một dạng tổn hại. Đối với bậc thầy đáng tôn kính, lời xấc xược và bạo hành thực sự đều nặng tội như nhau.
