Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 109

अनिच्छंत्यां कुमार्यां च वरं द्रव्यं च पार्थिवः । तथान्यदपि प्रीत्यासौ यद्ददौ नृपतिः श्रृणु

Transliteration

anicchaṃtyāṃ kumāryāṃ ca varaṃ dravyaṃ ca pārthivaḥ | tathānyadapi prītyāsau yaddadau nṛpatiḥ śrṛṇu

Translation

Dẫu thiếu nữ chẳng hề mong muốn, nhà vua vẫn ban cho nàng một ân phúc và của cải; lại vì lòng thương mến, ngài còn trao thêm nhiều vật khác nữa—hãy nghe điều vị quân vương ấy đã ban.
