योषित्सुवध्योऽसि रणं विभुंच शुंभाऽशुभ स्वल्पतरैरहोभिः । मत्तोर्हसि त्वं न वृथैव मूढ ततोऽपयातः स च शंभदानवः
yoṣitsuvadhyo'si raṇaṃ vibhuṃca śuṃbhā'śubha svalpatarairahobhiḥ | mattorhasi tvaṃ na vṛthaiva mūḍha tato'payātaḥ sa ca śaṃbhadānavaḥ
“Hỡi Shumbha bất tường, ngươi đáng bị giết bởi một người phụ nữ; và sức mạnh của ngươi trong trận chiến sẽ chấm dứt chỉ trong vài ngày nữa. Ngươi không phải là đối thủ của ta—đừng cố gắng vô ích, hỡi kẻ ngu ngốc.” Nói xong, tên Danava Shumbha đó liền rút lui.
