Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 58
मुंचामुं पुत्र याचंतं किमनेन प्रयोजनम् । अवमानो वधः प्रोक्तो वीरसंभावितस्य च
muṃcāmuṃ putra yācaṃtaṃ kimanena prayojanam | avamāno vadhaḥ prokto vīrasaṃbhāvitasya ca
“Hỡi con, hãy thả người ấy—người đang van xin. Việc này có ích gì? Với bậc được tôn là anh hùng, sự nhục nhã được nói là chẳng khác nào cái chết.”
